ACADEMIC MOBILITY IN ACTION

Academic mobility refers to students and teachers in higher education moving to another institution inside or outside of their own country to study or teach for a limited time.

Types of academic mobility

As relating to a country:

  • internal academic mobility
  • external academic mobility

According to the way of organization:

  • organized (carried out within the framework of economic, political or inter-university partnerships);
  • individual (on your own initiative).

Depending on the purpose:

  • horizontal (for a certain period of time during the training);
  • vertical (with an intention to obtain academic or scientific degree).

Academic mobility promotes realization of professional potential and also increases the quality of the national economy’s labor resources. It responds to the global educational space, and fierce competition in the educational services market.

International scholarships are permanent cash payments made on a regular (usually monthly) basis to undergraduate and graduate students, as a result of successful studying or research abroad.
