“Social Work and Social Change: Human Rights in Social Crisis”

          From July 1 to 5, 2024, the Summer School “Social Work and Social Change: Human Rights in Social Crisis” was held in Tbilisi (Georgia) within the framework of cooperation between Chernihiv Polytechnic University and partner universities in Georgia and Switzerland.

          A group of higher education students led by Kateryna MAKSYOM, associate professor of the social work department and Olena KOZYNETS, head of the department of law enforcement and general legal disciplines, was invited to participate in the Summer School.

          The program of the school included group presentations of the participants on the existing challenges in the field of human rights in each of the countries, thematic educational excursions, sessions of group work around such issues as the work of penitentiary institutions, internally displaced persons and domestic violence. The conclusion of the Summer School was a conference with presentations by students and invited scientific and pedagogical workers.
