Guest lecture on “Transitions in the Urban Metabolism”

          On September 12, 2024, applicants of the educational programs Economics, Economics of the Environment and Natural Resources, Accounting and Taxation and teachers of the Department of Economics, Accounting and Taxation attended an open guest lecture on the topic “Transitions in the Urban Metabolism” by Karel MULDER, professor of urban systems of the future Hague University of Applied Sciences of Sciences and associate professor in the direction of “Technologies of sustainable development” of the Delft University of Technology.

          Karl MULDER made a significant contribution to the formation of education for sustainable development, worked in the Dutch program for sustainable technological development (STD), held a number of conferences for community representatives. Applicants received answers to a number of questions, in particular, how to form sustainable urban systems, how to counteract climate change in the development of the economy, how to create ecologically safe habitats, etc.

          The lecture was held as part of the implementation of the UniCities Project “Unveiling the transformative potential of Ukrainian universities for the development of climate-neutral and sustainable cities.”
