Visit of the “Expertise France” delegation to Chernihiv Polytechnic National University

          On October 14, 2024, the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University received a delegation from the Expertise France organization.

          The delegation got acquainted with the results of the project “Restoration and implementation of current construction works in the main buildings of the university”, in the framework of which new windows and doors were installed for the main building, which was damaged during the Russian attack on April 17, 2024.

          French Ambassador Gael VESSIER emphasized the importance of supporting Chernihiv Region and noted that the restoration of vital facilities — a university, a hospital, a scientific institute and an innovation center — is a priority for the French government and the Expertise France agency. The head of the Chernihiv regional state administration, Vyacheslav CHAUS, also joined the meeting, who expressed gratitude to the French partners for their significant contribution to the restoration of the higher education institution.

          The rector of the university Oleg NOVOMLYNETS expressed his sincere gratitude for the help in restoring the infrastructure. “On April 17, 2024, as a result of a Russian attack, our university suffered significant damage. In particular, the windows and doors in the buildings were damaged, which made further operation of the facility impossible. Today, thanks to the project supported by Expertise France, we are taking important steps towards full recovery,” the rector emphasized.

          The restoration of the university’s infrastructure is an important stage on the way to ensuring a continuous educational process and the development of education in the region.
