          On October 25, an open lecture by Olivier GAUJARD (France), the founder of the design bureau Gaujard Technologie (France), was held on the topic “Wooden construction. Balancing between different processes and species diversity”.

          Candidates of specialties (educational programs) of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Engineering, Production and Construction joined the lecture:

  • 022 Design (Environmental Design);
  • 131 Applied mechanics (Mechanical engineering technologies, computer design systems);
  • 131 Applied mechanics (Welding technologies and equipment);
  • 133 Industrial engineering (Industrial engineering);
  • 187 Woodworking and furniture technologies (Woodworking and furniture technologies);
  • 191 Architecture and urban planning (Architecture and urban planning);
  • 192 Construction and civil engineering (Construction and civil engineering);
  • 193 Geodesy and land management (Geodesy and land management);
  • as well as specialty 101 Ecology (Ecology) of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Nature Management and Humanities.

          The acquirers received valuable information about the possibilities of using local wood species, state and local standards, features of technologies in the construction of various buildings and structures both in France and in other countries of the world. The lecturer gave many examples of interesting architectural and construction solutions and implemented projects using such ecological materials as straw, hemp, etc.

          We thank our French partners and the Department of Welding and Construction Technologies of Chernihiv Polytechnic National University for organizing the lecture.

          We remind you that this is only the first meeting of a whole cycle of lectures in the field of Green construction.

Therefore, we are happy to invite everyone to the next meetings!
