Kent county representatives visited Chernihiv Polytechnic University

          On November 1, Chernihiv region hosted a delegation from Kent County (Great Britain), which visited Chernihiv Polytechnic National University to strengthen international cooperation and discuss the prospects for the development of education and science within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed the day before on cooperation between Kent County and Chernihiv region. The delegation was led by Kent County Council Chairman Roger HOFF, who was accompanied by Councilor Jordan MEAD.

          During the visit, representatives of the British side got acquainted with the activities of higher education institutions of Chernihiv region. Representatives of higher education institutions had the opportunity to present their innovative educational programs, research projects and achievements in scientific activity. This made it possible to demonstrate to international partners the high level of training of specialists in the region and the readiness to expand cooperation in the academic and scientific spheres.

          The participants of the meeting discussed topical issues of higher education development and ways of possible cooperation between educational institutions of Chernihiv region and Kent County. The British guests expressed interest in cooperation with Ukrainian educational institutions, in particular in the areas of academic exchange, scientific research and educational projects.

          The rector Oleg NOVOMLYNETS expressed his gratitude to Mr. Roger HOFF and the leadership of Chernihiv OVA for their openness to cooperation and support of higher education institutions of Chernihiv region.
