Memorandum of Cooperation and Partnership with the Charitable Foundation “Rokada”

          On April 24, the Memorandum of Cooperation and Partnership was signed between Chernihiv Polytechnic National University and the Charitable Organization “Charitable Foundation “Rokada”.

          The Memorandum envisages the consolidation of efforts for psychological, social and legal support of higher education applicants with a special focus on internally displaced persons and persons with special needs. The Memorandum envisages active interaction with the University’s Tutoring and Mentoring Center in the process of implementing tutoring and mentoring programs, conducting joint mentoring sessions, trainings, workshops and master classes, involving specialists from the “Rokada” Foundation in working with tutors and students who find themselves in difficult life circumstances, organizing educational and industrial practices for IDP students, and creating a single information environment for knowledge exchange and support.

          In difficult times of war and constant challenges experienced by internally displaced persons, mentoring, psychological and legal support is key to maintaining mental health, academic success and social integration.

          Cooperation with the Rokada Foundation is an important step to ensure high-quality piloting of mentoring for IDPs and training of tutors within the framework of the Erasmus+ PROMENT project, as well as to further scale up mentoring and tutoring support for students who need it most.
