As part of the mentoring programme “Circle of Support”, the first meeting took place — a sand therapy session “The Voice of Sand: What the Soul Keeps Silent About”.
On 12 November, within the Erasmus+ PROMENT project “Promoting professional education and active student participation through the establishment of a mentoring and tutoring system in higher education institutions”, participants of the mentoring programme for students with disabilities “Circle of Support” took part in the first mentoring session featuring elements of sand therapy.
Thanks to Liliia Kryvchenko, a psychologist at the NGO “Convictus Ukraine”, the participants had the opportunity to immerse themselves in their own experiences, reconsider their inner states, and feel supported in an atmosphere of trust. During the session, the students worked with their emotions through safe and therapeutic interaction to better understand themselves and connect with their inner resources.
The event was held at the counselling centre of “Convictus Ukraine” with the support of Norwegian People’s Aid.
We sincerely thank “Convictus Ukraine” and psychologist Liliia Kryvchenko for creating a sensitive and safe space, and we thank the participants for their trust and active engagement. More meetings and new discoveries lie ahead.
