12th International Staff Week at the University of Valladolid: New Opportunities for the Development of International Cooperation

12th International Staff Week at the University of Valladolid: New Opportunities for the Development of International Cooperation

Olha Melnyk, a representative of Chernihiv Polytechnic National University, participated in the 12th International Staff Week within the framework of Erasmus+ KA171, held from May 25 to 29. The event served as an important platform for exchanging experience, fostering international partnerships, and discussing contemporary challenges in higher education. The University of Valladolid warmly welcomed guests from almost every corner of the world.

During the event, participants learned about the opportunities offered by Erasmus+ KA171, explored inclusive practices in mobility programmes, visited the university campuses in Valladolid and Segovia, and gained insights into the organization of the educational process, campus infrastructure, student services, and international opportunities available to students.

A special part of the programme was the International Fair, where universities showcased their educational opportunities, international programmes, and cultural traditions. The event facilitated the establishment of new partnerships and strengthened the international academic community.

An important component of the programme was a session dedicated to European values. It provided not only a space for discussing the principles of democracy, freedom, and solidarity, but also an opportunity for Ukrainian participants to once again draw attention to the war that Ukraine is enduring. The Ukrainian delegation shared its experiences and emphasized that defending European values today is not only symbolic for Ukraine but also a matter of vital importance.

The practical value of participation for Chernihiv Polytechnic National University lies in expanding international contacts, studying European approaches to inclusive education and academic mobility, and creating opportunities to implement the acquired experience in the university’s educational process.

Participation in the International Staff Week contributes to the development of new partnerships within the Erasmus+ programme, the creation of joint international initiatives, and the further internationalization of the university.
