On 13-14 March, the Bioeconomy Changemakers Festival, organised by the European Commission in cooperation with the Youth Bioeconomy Embassies, took place in Brussels. The festival was accompanied by 30 independent side events in 18 EU countries from 11 to 17 March.
As part of the festival, Dr Nataliia TKALENKO was invited to chair the jury of the student project competition held on 15 March in Brno, Czech Republic, under the auspices of the city’s mayor’s office.
The festival was aimed at engaging young people as a driving force for transformational change, which is necessary in the face of the many challenges Europe faces today. The main goal was to unlock the potential of the bioeconomy to drive this transformation. In addition, the festival will help the European Commission to gather opinions on an updated bioeconomy strategy and action plan.
