Cooperation with Expertise France continues

          Immediately after the liberation of Chernihiv Region from the Russian occupiers, France became one of the first countries to come to the aid of the de-occupied region. Demonstrating its commitment to supporting Ukraine as a whole by providing humanitarian, economic, financial, diplomatic and military aid, France announced that it wants to focus its efforts on supporting the Chernihiv region in particular in matters of reconstruction, actively participating in the implementation of a number of public and private initiatives. In particular, within the framework of the RELEVE project, financed by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs (DGM), support for the recovery of Chernihiv region is carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Community Development, Territory and Infrastructure of Ukraine and Chernihiv Regional State Administration, as well as close cooperation with local authorities of Chernihiv region to achieve a strategic vision of the recovery process, to promote Ukraine’s stability and its integration path to the EU.

          The main goal of the project is to develop and finalize the Comprehensive Recovery Program of the Chernihiv Region, which will outline the main spatial, urban planning, socio-economic goals of the recovery policy, as well as a set of measures aimed at reviving the affected territories within the region, which have suffered the consequences of armed aggression or are centers social, economic, infrastructural, environmental or other crises.

          Zhanna DERII, Oksana MININA, Nataliya SHADURA-NYKYPORETS, employees of the Department of Economics, Accounting and Taxation, who are involved in the RELEVE project as experts of Expertise France, at the meeting of the working group presented the intermediate results of the development process of the Comprehensive Recovery Program of the Chernihiv region and outlined plans and future steps regarding it completion.
