Erasmus+ “Wake Up the Tolerance”
From June 16 to 24, 2024, a group of higher education graduates of Chernihiv Polytechnic National University, accompanied by L.V. PIKUN, associate professor of the Department of Foreign Philology. participated in the Erasmus+ project “Wake Up the Tolerance”, together with young people from Poland, Turkey and Serbia.
The participants of the visit underwent studies, trainings, master classes, and presented their results to the international public. Ukrainian youth presented their country and got to know other cultures, which gave an opportunity to break certain stereotypes and understand the diversity of our countries.
We are happy to share their feedback with you:
“Thank you for such an incredible opportunity to meet so many people, practice your English, learn new information and recharge with such landscapes” (ALINA)
“I personally received a lot of positive emotions and knowledge from this trip, which you can not only use, but also pass on to others. This project gave an opportunity to overcome the limits of a foreign language and communication with other people. Thank you!” (VERONIKA)
“For me, this trip became a challenge with my fears, it showed that thanks to the exchange of knowledge and experience with foreign students, you can expand your horizons, learn successful communication in English and become more tolerant. It also gave me the opportunity to get to know the cultures of other countries and show my own” (VIKTORIIA)
“This trip was a great opportunity for me to learn about the culture of Turkey, Poland and Serbia, as well as share my own. I was able to improve my communication skills, share my own experience and deepen my outlook, having gained useful and interesting knowledge” (MARIIA)
“Thanks to this trip, I learned that the fear of the language barrier can be avoided only in practice. This topic showed what is important today and that is why we should learn and practice tolerance right here and now. The presentation of each country made it possible to see their traditions, customs and ideas. And thanks to workshops and team building, we were able to practice working in international pairs” (KARINA)
“These are really unforgettable impressions that have been etched in my memory for a long time. Thanks to this project, I was able to practice two things that are important to me at once – English and communication skills” (KARINA).
