Europe Day

          On 9 May, Ukraine celebrates Europe Day together with the European Union countries. The holiday is celebrated as a sign of peace and unity across the continent.

          Ukraine has always been a European country because our people breathe freedom, and its entire history is a struggle for the right to be free.

          Today, our country is confidently moving towards becoming an official member of the European Union, and Europe stands shoulder to shoulder with Ukraine in our struggle for freedom and independence. We are integrating more and more into the European space, adapting our national legislation to the relevant European legislation, and implementing EU norms and standards. It is in Ukraine that we are writing a new chapter in the history of a free Europe together, and the blue European flag with 12 stars flies next to our blue and yellow flag.
