Final Forum of the ENEFEDU 2.0 project

          On 28 March 2024, the delegation of Chernihiv Polytechnic National University took part in the Forum “ENERGY EFFICIENCY IN PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION: GLOBAL CHALLENGES, LOCAL SOLUTIONS AND AGENDA FOR THE FUTURE”, which is the final part of the international project ENEFEDU 2.0, aimed at creating energy-efficient vocational education and training institutions in the context of Ukraine’s reconstruction.

          The project involves 10 VET institutions in Ukraine:

  • “Higher Vocational School No. 22” in Sarny Sarny;
  • “Higher Vocational School No. 1” in Rivne Rivne;
  • “Dnipro Centre for Vocational Education, a state vocational education institution;
  • “West Donbas Professional Lyceum;
  • “Kyiv Vocational College of Civil Engineering, a municipal institution of vocational education;
  • “Lutsk Higher Vocational School of Construction and Architecture’ State vocational education institution;
  • “Podilskyi Centre for Vocational Education and Training State educational institution;
  • “Regional Centre for Vocational Education of Innovative Technologies, Construction and Industry’ State educational institution”;
  • “Snovsk Higher Vocational School of Forestry” State vocational educational institution;
  • “Sumy Interregional Higher Vocational School State educational institution
    and
  •  Chernihiv Polytechnic National University.

          The National University Chernihiv Polytechnic is the only HEI participating in the project №81298093 ‘Energy Efficient Educational Institution. Thermal modernisation of VET institutions within the framework of developed energy efficiency courses. 2.0’ #GIZ_ENEFEDU 2.0, implemented by the Charitable Organisation “People’s Foundation” with the support of [http://%D0%9C%D1%96%D0%BD%D1%96%D1%81%D1%82%D0%B5%D1%80%D1%81%D1%82%D0%B2%D0%BE%20%D0%BE%D1%81%D0%B2%D1%96%D1%82%D0%B8%20%D1%96%20%D0%BD%D0%B0%D1%83%D0%BA%D0%B8%20%D0%A3%D0%BA%D1%80%D0%B0%D1%97%D0%BD%D0%B8] and technical support of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH Energy Efficiency and Climate Projects within the framework of the larger project “Promoting Energy Efficiency and Implementation of the EU Energy Efficiency Directive in Ukraine” (FEER) and funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

          The Forum brought together representatives of the government, civil society, and higher and vocational education institutions to discuss the achievements, current challenges, and future of thermal modernisation of educational institutions and training of energy efficiency specialists in the context of Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction.

          The main topics discussed at the meeting were: the results of the ENEFEDU2.0 project; presentation of the Membrane Roofing Installer manual and energy efficiency training courses on the PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION ONLINE platform (https://profosvita.online/course_category/termomodernizaciya-budivel-ta-sporud/), thermal modernisation of VET institutions and training of energy efficiency specialists for the reconstruction of Ukraine.
