Guest lecture from polar explorers of the Ukrainian Antarctic Research Station “Akademik Vernadsky”
On 12 March 2024, with the assistance of the National Antarctic Science Centre, a guest lecture on ‘Research at the Ukrainian Antarctic Research Station “Akademik Vernadsky” (Antarctica) was held online with a live broadcast from the station.

          Lecturers: Alexander NADTOCHYI (meteorologist) and Sergey GLOTOV (biologist).

          The meeting was attended by students majoring in ecology, tourism, agronomy, forestry, electricity and other specialities, university research and teaching staff, representatives of the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration, the State Ecological Inspectorate in Chernihiv Region, the Desna Basin Water Resources Administration, and the Chernihiv Regional Centre for Hydrometeorology.

          During the meeting, the polar explorers told about the scientific research carried out at the station, conducted a tour of the territory, showed penguins, scientific laboratories, everyday life, a recreation area, a photo gallery and much more. They also answered numerous questions from the audience.
