Round table “Digitalization of the financial sector: new technologies and necessary competencies”

          On February 23, 2024, the round table “Digitalization of the financial sector: new technologies and necessary competences” was held at Chernihiv Polytechnic National University. The remote format of the event made it possible to attract more than 55 stakeholders from the state, business and public sectors of society to participate in it.

          The participants of the round table were welcomed by:

  • Head of the Department of Professional, Higher Education and Science of the Department of Education and Science of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration Tetyana Mykolaivna DAVYDOVA;
  • Viktoriya Hennadiivna MARGASOVA, vice-rector for scientific work of Chernihiv Polytechnic National University, doctor of economics, professor.

          The round table meeting was attended by students of higher education majors in “Finance, Banking and Insurance” and “Personnel Management and Labor Economics”, scientific and pedagogical staff of higher education institutions of Ukraine and Poland, members of public organizations and local authorities of Chernihiv Oblast, including Department of Control in the Industry, Energy, Transport and Financial Services Department of the Northern Office of the State Audit Service in Chernihiv Region. Representatives of the business sector actively participated in the discussion at the event, in particular Enertim LLC, Chernihiv Transport Company LLC, JETWOODHOUSE LLC, Nebeus, KOLTRANS SOLUTIONS LLC, FPOs providing services in the IT sphere, programming, providing services with engineering and 3D modeling, production of animal products, production of leather accessories, consulting on informatization, etc.

          The work of the participants of the round table was aimed at researching the influence of modern technologies on the transformation of the financial sector, as well as at discussing the current requirements of the labor market for the competencies of graduates of higher education institutions.

          Implementers of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Module project N.I. KHOLYAVKO, M.V. DUBYNA, S.A. IVANETS, O.V. POPELO, A.V. LAVORONOK presented the course “Artificial Intelligence in EU Financial Institutions” to the stakeholders, familiarized them with its structure and content. Based on the results of the round table discussion, a list of course competencies was formed, which will allow to improve its syllabus and educational materials.
