Second meeting of the PROMENT Steering Committee in Uzhhorod

          From 20 to 24 February 2025, the Second Annual Steering Committee Meeting of the international ERASMUS+ KA2 PROMENT “Promoting Vocational Education and Active Participation of Students through the Development of a Comprehensive Mentoring and Tutoring System in Higher Education Institutions” was held in Uzhhorod (Ukraine) with the participation of representatives of all project consortium partners from Ukraine, Georgia, Italy, Austria, Poland and Portugal. The meetings were held in a mixed format.

          During the meeting, the participants discussed the results of the second year of the PROMENT project in the context of individual work packages, identified key results and project risks, outlined specific steps to improve the work of the 6 Tutoring and Mentoring Centres established under the project, and considered the challenges of scaling up 12 tutoring and mentoring schemes in the third year of the project.

          The Steering Committee members focused on evaluating the results of the first piloting of mentoring and tutoring schemes at 4 universities in Ukraine and 2 universities in Georgia, planning monitoring visits to Ukrainian and Georgian universities, ensuring the long-term sustainability of the project, adjusting the communication strategy, certain aspects of reporting and financial management of the project.

          The key speakers at the event were coordinators and representatives of partner universities.  Chernihiv Polytechnic National University was represented at the Steering Committee meetings in Uzhhorod by Liudmyla Remniova, Institutional Coordinator of the PROMENT project, and Alla Kholodnytska, Head of the University’s Tutoring and Mentoring Centre. Nataliia Kholiavko, a member of PROMENT Quality Assurance Committee, took part in the online discussion of the project’s quality assurance issues. Intensive discussions, strategic planning, and joint work of the project consortium members to address current issues will contribute to the further development of the tutoring and mentoring system at the regional level.
