The fourth wave of the UPSHIFT youth programme
The fourth wave of the UPSHIFT youth programme From 7 to 10 March, the fourth wave of the UPSHIFT youth programme took place at Chernihiv Polytechnic National University. UPSHIFT is a global programme of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), which is implemented in more than 40 countries.
The programme provides young people with training in Human Centered Design methodology, mentoring and resources to create socially important projects. The UPSHIFT programme in Kyiv and Chernihiv regions is implemented by the NGO Agency of Local Initiatives with the support of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development through the German State Development Bank KfW. The programme was attended by 10 teams, whose members are active young people from Chernihiv Oblast who are willing and able to solve socially important problems in their communities.
For 4 days, the teams actively worked on solving socially significant problems. They learned to work in a team, generate ideas, and think creatively. The following students from the National University of Chernihiv Polytechnic took part in the programme: Dmytro LETOSHKO, group KB-212 (Institute of EIT) and Yelyzaveta PANIOTOVA, group PUA-211 (Institute of MHTT); mentor – Yuliia SHABARDINA, Associate Professor of the Department of Architecture and Environmental Design (Institute of ADG).
