UPSHIFT youth program

UPSHIFT youth program

From February 1 to 4, the UPSHIFT youth program was held at Chernihiv Polytechnic National University. UPSHIFT is a global program of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), which is implemented in more than 40 countries.

The program provides an opportunity for young people to undergo training in the Human Centered Design methodology, receive mentoring support and resources to create socially important projects.

The UPSHIFT program in Kyiv and Chernihiv regions is implemented by the NGO “Agency for Local Initiatives” with the support of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany through the German state development bank KfW.

10 teams took part in the program, the participants of which are active youth of the Chernihiv region who want and are able to solve socially important problems in communities. Participants of these programs learned to work in a team, analyze challenges and think outside the box. With the help of a mentor, they found effective solutions to the problems that bother them, and as a result, they created their own socially useful project.

We wish each team successful implementation of their project!
