Working meeting of Ukrainian and Georgian partners of the ERASMUS+ KA2 PROMENT project

           On September 6, 2024, a working meeting of the Ukrainian and Georgian partners of the consortium of the Erasmus+ KA2 PROMENT project “Promotion of professional education and active participation of students through the establishment of a comprehensive system of mentoring and tutoring in higher education institutions” took place.

           The purpose of the meeting, which was held online, was to discuss the plan of activities as part of the first piloting of tutoring and mentoring programs in 4 Ukrainian and 2 Georgian universities. The representatives of the partner universities shared their experience in conducting the School of tutors, training mentors and improving the qualifications of teachers within the framework of the 1.0 ECTS course on the basics of tutoring and mentoring, as well as the prospective work plans of the Tutoring and Mentoring Centers. In addition, considerable attention was paid to monitoring the quality of the developed training manuals and supporting materials for the methodological support of the implementation of innovative mentoring programs developed within the framework of the PROMENT project and the need for their further refinement based on the results of piloting in 2024 and 2025. The participants of the meeting discussed topical issues related to the preparation of the project’s interim report, the activation of the involvement of tutors and mentors in the first piloting, as well as the dissemination of piloting results. After the working meeting, the PROMENT project team from Chernihiv Polytechnic National University gathered to specify the main directions of piloting tutoring for first-year students and digital mentoring in the 2024-2025 academic year.

           The PROMENT global meeting is planned for early October, when the new academic year will begin at partner universities from Poland, Austria, Italy and Portugal.
