BUP PhD Students Training 2026

          We are pleased to share with you that we have just announced the BUP PhD Students Training 2026.

          The event is an opportunity for PhD students to become better acquainted with other academic perspectives. The participants are offered training in interdisciplinary research cooperation with the guidance of an international group of senior scientists.

          The 2026 PhD Students Training takes place on 23 – 27 November 2026 at Lodz University of Technology, Lodz, Poland (the event is hosted and organised by the Lodz University of Technology, in collaboration with Adam Mickiewicz University and the BUP Coordinating Secretariat in Uppsala).

          The objective of this training is to give PhD students from BUP participating universities the possibility to meet and discuss scientific problems with a focus on sustainable development in an interdisciplinary, international multicultural and regional context. In this way, students will also get the opportunity to become acquainted with other universities and their scientific tradition.

          The program of the training included:

• lectures;
• workshops;
• student’s presentations of PhD work;
• individual consultancies of the PhD thesis with international experts.

          There is no participation fee for this event.

          Lunches, dinners and coffee breaks will be provided by the BUP during the event progran days.

          However, the accepted PhD students are expected to cover their travel and accomodation themselves.

          The application deadline is 30 June 2026.
