National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic

          We invite faculty members, researchers, PhD students, and undergraduate students of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University to participate in the National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic, funded by the Ministry of Education, Science, Research, and Sport of the Slovak Republic, for study, research, artistic, or lecturing mobilities during the summer semester of the 2026/2027 academic year. The programme aims to support the academic mobility of international students, PhD students, university teachers, and researchers to higher education institutions and research organizations in Slovakia.

The following applicants are eligible for a scholarship under the programme:

  1. Students who meet all of the following criteria:
  • are studing at a higher education institution outside Slovakia;
  • are master’s students, or students who have completed at least 2,5 years of university studies in the same study program/field;
  • will be accepted by a public or private higher education institution in the Slovak Republic for an academic mobility study stay.

          Duration of study stay: 1 or 2 semesters (4-5 or 9-10 months).

      2. PhD students who meet all of the following criteria:

  • are pursuing higher education and research training outside Slovakia;
  • are accepted for a study/research stay by a public or private higher education institution or a research organization in Slovakia eligible to conduct PhD studies, under an academic mobility program.

          Duration of stay: 1-10 months.

      3. University teachers and researches who have been invited for a lecturing or research stay by an organization based in Slovakia that is a non-profit entity and holds the right to carry out R&D activities.

          Duration stay: 1-10 months.

          Funding terms: Monthly scholarship, coverage of travel expenses, accommodation, and meals.

  • Motivation letter;
  • Detailed study/research mobility program;
  • Recommendation letters;
  • Confirmation of study status from the applicant’s home university;
  • Scanned copy of higher education diploma and diploma supplement;
  • List of publications;
  • Letter of invitation from the host university in Slovakia.

          Application deadline: October 31, 2026.
